The Future is Coming

It’s sooner than expected! Driverless cars and a reimagination of the modern car is approaching everyone. We went from “flying” cars, to a more realistic approach. The expectations can vary since everyone has a different view toward this, but I for one can allow a driverless car to be apart for my life. As technology grows, people learn about the human behavior even more. This time, I expect an uneasy change that might take years to adopt.

A driverless car would be useful in a lot of ways and one basic yet useful way would be texting while not driving. It turns out that many deaths reported in the US are because of texting while driving. A quick response can jeopardize a life, but with self driving, it can only create the opposite. “I am for it, I think anything that [for driving] that reduces human error and saves lives and creates a safer zone is good.” assistant principal Nicholas Jurman said.

The fear for having a computer drive a car is the moral responsibility with deaths and accidents. At that point, who is it to blame? Many people believe that it could be considerably dangerous and vulnerable to hackers that can control and cause harm towards people. It isn’t a misplaced fear, many pilots and airplanes were hacked recently that could have killed hundreds on a plane. In this digital age, anything is possible.

It’s an exciting road ahead for people to experience the age of transformation with technology. Although fears and dangers arise, companies under the research and safety are bound to take a look at these concerns. Phones, Tablets, and more were under the stamp of modern reinvention, with the car as their next target.
