Shadows of Mordor gets a sequel

Warner Bros. officially announced a sequel to the action-adventure game, Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor, Middle Earth: Shadow of War. It is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, Steam and Windows 10 this August.

Shadow of War will feature an original story set within the Lord of the Rings universe, experienced through returning protagonist, Talion, and his companion, Celebrimbor. Wielding a new Ring of Power, the player will face off against various enemies, including Sauron and his army in a battle to free Middle-Earth.

The game will be expanding the Nemesis System from the original title, wherein randomly generated enemies would react differently to the actions of the player. In addition to more features added to the Nemesis System, NPC followers will also be added. These followers will react to the player’s actions, creating dynamic storylines based on what the player does.

“I’ve loved Lord of the Rings for my entire life and Shadows of Mordor was so amazing. I was surprised when the sequel was announced and now I’m really excited,” senior Jonathan Baffo said.

Rated an 8/10 from Gamespot and 9.3/10 from, Shadows of Mordor was a very well received and it's reputation has fans excited for the sequel.
