Square Enix meets Nintendo

A new character has been added to the newest Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS. The legendary Cloud Strife, from Final Fantasy VII, has earned his own title on the character menu.
It was put on sale for the Wii U and 3DS on the afternoon of December 16. It was being sold for $5.99 individually on Wii U, or the 3DS, or as a combo pack for $6.99 for both platforms. His mechanics have introduced more of Final Fantasy to Super Smash Bros.
A feature that was added that seemed most intriguing to players trying out the new character, was the Limit Break move. If you hold down buttons, Cloud remains stationary and a Limit bar increases above his head, to charge up an attack called Limit Break. Cloud gains a temporary amount of amplified strength to his attacks.
His standard special move is the Blade Beam, which can be performed in the air, or on the ground; it is more powerful on the ground. Assuming Cloud has his Buster Sword, it is rather large like Shulk’s Monado, Cloud is seems to be a lot faster then Shulk, and even just as powerful.
A lot of people are excited about this new addition, although they agree Cloud is very overpowering in combat. Nintendo has a few more tricks up their sleeves to keep their gamers entertained with later addition of Bayonetta from her game, Bayonetta in February, and Corinth from Fire Emblem at a later date.
