Apple Watch 2 Wishlist: More Improvements!

Apple Watch was released on April 24th, 2015; it’s almost been 10th months since its launch and we finally got a feel of what Apple was thinking behind the process of creating the device.
While I love my Apple Watch, here are five things that I want the next generation model to have:
Reduced Bezels
The Apple Watch is a beautiful device with a sharp screen. The color and text look rich and vibrant, that brings a smile to my face. However, I see really large bezels and that is something I would like to see disappear. Just look at the iPad 3 compared to the iPad Air, the bezels were seriously reduced and the device had improved profoundly.
2. A smoother watchOS
The OS is one of the best I’ve seen on a device. I love the design and outlook of the small circular apps that I can scroll around but it’s seriously buggy. It’s slow, sloppy and annoyingly unoptimized. Some apps take longer to even launch compared to the iPhone. While that might seem unfair, think about it this way, isn’t the watch supposed to do tasks the phone does but faster and better? So why should I launch Instagram, wait 40 seconds, and then view the photos while my iPhone would take only 5 seconds. The speed needs to be there, and it needs to be responsive.
3. The Price
This watch requires some serious investment. The model that drew me was in the Apple Watch collection, specifically the Milanese loop. This cost me $650 and this was without ordering any other additional bands. Currently, I have 3 sport bands, the classic buckle, and a link bracelet (that was gifted to me via Amazon because the price Apple asks for is ridiculous). That adds up to a grand total of $1,010. This is insane for a watch, the price needs to come down. While I did buy it, the average consumer would not. That’s the problem, consumers want it, but can’t afford it.
4. Louder Speakers
Phone calls on the watch are very convenient to have because my phone is sometimes in the other room or too deep in my pocket to pull out. However, using my watch in crowded or semi- loud areas are a real pain since I can’t hear anything! I always wanted to use it publicly but when I can’t hear anything, it makes it pointless. I don’t want my watch to be raised to my ear because at that point my phone would be more useful.
5. Less Connectivity to the phone
I understand that it needs to be connected to the phone otherwise it would make it a phone on the wrist, but at the same time some things like fitness tracking can be useful without the phone. It’s hard to carry my phone in the gym in my pocket while doing a few exercises, it adds unnecessary weight that shouldn't exist in the first place. I wear the watch for every activity I do, make it less clingy, and it’s a better product already.
These five reasons are more than enough to help Apple improve the sales for the product, but more importantly see a brighter future. The current watch is a fantastic product, but it has limited use and for that reason, Apple needs to improve.
