Fight Like Hell
Despite having so much negative feedback from almost the entire gaming community, the DOOM beta was one my favorite gaming experiences of 2016. Many complained that it was unbalanced and nothing like the old DOOM games, but that didn’t stop me from having a blast!

The combat was fast, hectic and most importantly, it was fun. The loadout system worked really well, but having an area style way of fighting, with weapons spawning at set locations on the map, would have encouraged me to use all the weapons at my disposal, as opposed to running around with a shotgun the whole time.
The spectacular level design, full of open areas and long hallways, also made the beta enjoyable. The maps are tight and complex, but after learning them, it allows exhilarating gameplay that just never stops.
In addition to the gunplay, items called, demon runes, occasionally spawn on the map, and picking it up allows the player to transform into a demon and wreak havoc on the enemy team.
Playing as the demon was enjoyable for about 12.9 seconds, but unfortunately I got bored of it and stuck with my usual shotgun.
