Taliyah is the newest champion to grace Summoner’s Rift, bringing a unique set of abilities to quickly get around and tear apart the competition.

Taliyah bends the earth to her will, and uses her abilities to control the area around her to great effect.

Her passive ability, Rock Surfing, grants Taliyah increased movement speed as long as she is near a wall. This grants her great opportunities to roam around the map and surprise her opponents, as well as offer her a constant option to escape troublesome situations.

Her first ability, Threaded Volley, tears up the ground beneath her and launches five stone shards at her opponent. The ground Taliyah ripped up becomes worked ground, and walking over it increases movement speed, but casting Threaded Volley over worked ground creates only one stone shard.

Her second ability, Seismic Shove, causes a marked location to erupt, damaging enemies and knocking them in the air. This ability can be activated a second time to push enemies in a direction the player chooses.

Taliyah’s next ability, Unraveled Earth, scatters boulders in front of her, which will detonate after someone walks over them. A few seconds later, the rest of the boulders will explode, dealing another wave of damage.

Finally, her ultimate ability, Weaver’s Wall, sends a fast moving wall in a targeted direction after a short casting period. The player can press her ultimate key again to jump on top of the wall and take a ride wherever it’s going.

“She has a really exciting kit, I’m hoping she’ll live up to my expectations,” junior Gustavo Mendez said.

Taliayah promises to be an interesting addition to the League of Legeends roster. Offering great zone control and movment options, shes certainly a force to be reckoned with.
